Is your pantry costing you money?

Nicely organized pantry

When you’re a mom, you are always busy. Anything that will reduce stress is a life saver.

So in that vein, let’s talk about your pantry. Arguably, it is the most utilized space in the house. When it is poorly organized, the effects are far-reaching. Let’s take a look at the very best reasons for straightening it up.

1. You’ll save time. If your items are not categorized, you will struggle to find what you’re looking for. You don’t have that kind of time.

2. You’ll save money. If you can’t see what you actually have, you will buy duplicates. And odds are, items will expire before you can use them. I know you don’t want to waste money like that.

3. You’ll reduce stress. Your visual cortex has to process everything it sees. If your pantry is chaotic, you’ll feel that every time you walk in there. And your inner critic will give you grief about how you let it get to that state and why you haven’t done anything about it.

4. You’ll reduce decision fatigue. Sometimes, you walk into your pantry for inspiration about what to prepare. That’s really hard to do when items are scattered everywhere.

5. It makes meal planning and cooking infinitely easier. You can see what you have, so you know what to put on your grocery list. And when you’re under the gun to produce dinner, you can find your ingredients readily.

6. You’ll empower your kids. If they can find their own snacks, that’s one less thing you have to help them with.

Organizing one of the busiest areas of your house is a no-brainer. As always, I would love to help create the ideal space for you and your family.
