5 of my favorite spots in Katy

Katy Acupuncture and Herbal Care
I literally couldn’t live without acupuncture. I have probably referred 100 people to Dr. Tasneem Raja over the last 20 years, and every single one has given rave reviews. I’ve used it for my insomnia and hormonal issues, but it’s also widely used for anxiety, depression, stress, pain management, allergies and just about every malady you could name. Give it a try, and I promise you’ll fall in love with it too.

Medical Fitness Pros
If you have pain anywhere in your body, Jason and his team will figure out why and set you straight. When Jack was a teen, we visited a handful of practitioners (including a surgeon!) who couldn’t figure out his hip pain. In 30 seconds, Jason said Jack had a tight psoas, and he was right. He has since sorted out my psoas, trapezius and various and sundry other issues. Highly recommend!

Footworks Boutique Spa
Y’all. For a mere $55, you get one hour of unadulterated bliss. I always go for the massage where you get 30 minutes of work on your head, neck and shoulders, and then 30 minutes on your feet and lower legs. The massage therapists are incredibly talented and the customer service is great. I’m incredibly discerning, and this place ROCKS!

Patsy’s Pet Market
The owner of this store will remember your name the second time you come in. I’ve never seen anything like it. And she knows nutrition better than any vet in town. Heads up – many of the prescription and “elite” pet foods have totally toxic ingredients in them. Buying better food costs more, but in the long run it keeps your pets healthy and saves costly vet bills. Patsy and her crew are so welcoming and accommodating and most definitely worth of your business.

Koldprezz Organic Raw Juice
Confession: I tried to do a juice fast for a day. I didn’t even make it to mid-morning lol. I’ve tried every juice place in town, and koldprezz is the very best. Every single juice I’ve had there has been divine. I’m partial to the beet juices, their milky blends are delicious too. And yes, it’s expensive. But you’re worth it.
